The John Deere Dain AWD was produced from 1918 to 1919 with a total of 100 units built at the East Moline factory. It was John Deere's first tractor produced for sale with their brand name. The tractor featured a McVicker 6.3L 4-cylinder engine, delivering 12 hp at the drawbar and 24 hp at the belt. Production stopped due to its high cost compared to competitors.
