Great service, good advice and delivered when agreed. Mower is perfect for what I need (8 acres of paddock) and has been trouble-free.

The WFL175 mower is working well - I am not a heavy user but I have had no issues with it at all. It works on fairly thick paddock and longish field grass (some had not been cut for over a year). It is much more effective than my finishing mower that struggled with longer field grass and brushwood. I am using the mower with a vintage MF35X and it has no problem running it.

The Flail Mower has been excellent and rates a 5. Your service and attention also rates a 5 .

I bought the flail mower last year and it’s been great, already mowed 6 acres ready for the horses to move in this year.

We have ran a full season flail mowing our paddock. The machine is excellent, has worked faultlessly and leaves a very clean smooth finish to the grass. We are very pleased with it.

Flail mower has been excellent. We use it all regularly to cut paddocks and to help cut up hedge trimmings. I give it 5/5. I guess I would now buy the version which allows for offset but its not limiting my use.

I’ve been very impressed with this Winton flail mower. It was very easy to attach to my old Fordson tractor, there was enough adjustment of mountings on the mower body to accommodate the wider hydraulic lift arms. The cutting blades are very robust and easily cut the toughest brambles and weeds as well as the grass in the 3 acre apple orchard and 6 acre adjacent field. It’s also very easy to clean and maintain. I used a rotary topper before this machine and was always having issues with it. I would highly recommend the Winton flail mower to anyone cutting a large area of grass that’s too long for a standard “ride-on”. I would rate this machine 5 out of 5!

Very well built and already taken a lot of hammer on our rough land. Would pay a bit more for a spare set of sharp blade cutters for alternative grass types.

Overall a nice piece of heavy duty kit with a few minor limitations. Can cut virtually any length** or type of grass / pasture. Ideal for tidying up woodland floor, removing brambles, generating paths. Can produce a near bowling green finish on lawns if required. Works best in dry conditions. Damp or wet grass cuttings will wrap around roller bearings and seize roller if not removed frequently. Scraper bar attached to roller largely ineffective. Always worth checking and cleaning roller and hammer blades after each use. ** a 2 foot cut easily achieved in two or three stages using tractor hydraulic lift. I would presently rate this machine 4 out of 5 but please note if the irritating problem with damp grass build up around roller bearings during operation can be solved I would give the Flail a 5 out of 5 rating.

I am pleased with the WFL145 as it works well and seems good value. On the last outing however the drive belt burnt out which took me by surprise. Oil levels were fine so I'm not sure if it's down to me checking tension etc or something that I could expect. If that had not happened I would have given it a 5, since it did happen it's a 4.

I have had the flail mower on the back of an old ford 3000. It cuts my field with ease and leaves a nice finish. I no longer have to rely on others to cut my grass. Great piece of machinery.

I have been using the WFL105 for annually cutting back brambles, thorn and nettles which are trying to encroach on my wildflower meadows. I also cut back long tussocky grass in the wrong place and cut paths through the meadows. I drive it with a 17HP Yanmar tractor and , at times, I could do with more HP in the more dense growth ! I have the hammer flails rather than the Y flails and they work well on most things but sometimes get clogged with the longer tussocky grass. Overall the machine does what I wanted it to do and I would recommend it to others.

I was hesitant in purchasing our Winton topper as it was an unknown make to me and the price seemed too good. But there was no need, from the moment we unpacked it we were pleased, build quality is excellent, it does the job brilliantly, I have abused it and done some tough jobs, scrub clearance and it has copped well. Was also very please to find that parts are available, something which I think we should be made more aware of as it gives confidence in the product, if there is a parts manual included I always feel better about a product. 5 star topper - Thank you

I have been very pleased with my Winton WFL175 1.75m PTO Flail Mower, it gives a great cut and smashes down brambles and overgrowth very well. It also gives me a nice finish on the field grass. My original tractor I think was slightly underpowered for it if I was going uphill with longer grass - Very Old Fordson Major :) I now have a slightly bigger tractor with suitable HP and it is great.

The Winton flail WFL175 has performed very well for me and coped with the job I bought it for. I would rate the machine 5 out of 5 for the value for money and quality of finish.

I have used the flail mower for two seasons now, more through 2021 than last season, as I initially needed to get quite a lot of long grass and weeds under control (I was cutting about three acres of fairly rough ground with it). The machine performed well, although I was towing it behind a rather underpowered Kubota Diesel tractor generating about 18hp. The cut was quite short and even, which meant that I could follow up with a quick mow and tidy up using my John Deere ride-on mower subsequently. The only problem I encountered was having to lift the flail at the end of each run because the turning circle was quite tight and the flails tended to get jammed on the turn by the grass and stall the tractor engine. No doubt a more powerful tractor would have overcome this issue. Overall I have been pleased with the machine. It is a well-built and solid bit of kit and has solved my problem of dealing with areas of ground that have not been mowed for a number of years. I can recommend it to anyone having to tackle a similar situation. Based on my personal circumstances I would rate it at four out of five.

Brilliant little mower for my Iseki TGX237. Well built and possibly over engineered for a 23hp tractor but better that than having something that will brake!!

Yes, the Winton WFL175 has been a success, it has done the job of topping my 6 acre paddock several times a year. I would certainly recommend it. It still looks as good as new, with no rust or paint chipping. I would rate it 4 out of 5. My main criticism is that the gearbox oil filler plug can only be accessed after removing the PTO guard, and the topper has to be unhitched to do so. This does not encourage checking of the oil level! The machine would also be better still if it could be set a bit higher for long grass. I use a Kubota L3200 tractor but would probably not recommend anything much less than that for a paddock.

I’m really pleased with my Winton flail. I’m not a large scale farmer but have about 3 acres which is meadow and beehives. It’s a small scale machine but built to full scale standards and suits my Kubota compact mower very well. Five out of Five for me from two years of faultless service already.

Zaros did all that I expected and the machine I ordered arrived quickly and in good order. On a purchase of this value I prefer to speak to someone. However my email questions were responded to very rapidly and fully. But for this and the delivery being made on a large lorry which could not negotiate my gateway (despite my request for a small vehicle) I would award 5stars.

The mower works well and I have no complaints. I bought it to tidy up an area of rough tussocky grass land. Before I bought it I asked if my (newish Kubota)25 horsepower tractor would be adequate as a power source. I was assured it should be. Not really. This is not a complaint but I would suggest you tell prospective customers that 35 hp would be better. I just have to mow more frequently and/or take lighter cuts.

Good quality mower sturdily built. Documentation is good with clear guide for pto shaft adjustment. Arrived within the stated delivery period on a truck that was able to deliver to rural Devon ( we requested ‘no articulated truck’ as it could not get to us and this was taken on board by the suppliers). Pleased with the kit and the service.

Bought it to keep some rough grassland in check. Does the job, though does tend to flatten longer grass rather than cut it sometimes. Good for keeping self seeded saplings down.

We spent all day Saturday cutting grass, and must say what a fantastic piece of kit. It left a perfect finish and did not miss anything, even in the rougher areas around the headland.

I’d happily buy more Winton equipment… I just need to find an excuse to do so!
